Recently felled tree trunks and branches still not been removed

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 11:21, Thursday 6 March 2025

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7234216.

After the storm on 24th January this year, several trees were uprooted, these have recently been felled but the branches and boughs are still lying on the ground and the craters caused by the trees being uprooted still unfilled. Residents feel this particular area is being neglected as bushes are over 10ft high when they used to be regularly cut and sat around 6ft. Between the graffiti and aftermath of the storm, this area a real eyesore for residents.

Updates

  • Hi there has been no movement on the above issues. Residents have had to cut down bushes on footpath outside 7 Walker Court themselves as storm had uprooted bushes and they had fallen onto footpath and hampering people using it. The debris from cutting down these bushes is also now needing uplifted. It is so disheartening to see this mess and graffiti as soon as blinds are pulled every morning.
