Lethal & criminally unrepaired pothole for years!
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 08:46, Wed 5 March 2025
Sent to Hampshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7227716.
Why is this huge lethal pothole being left for so long, damaging vehicles. Absolutely disgraceful, bordering criminal to leave such a blatantly dangerous & damaging defect in a main A road for such an obscene amount of time. FIX IT! Properly.

You couldn't actually make this up. HCC DENY there is an issue here. Utter charlatans. ~ ~"Following an investigation by our local Assistant Highways Engineer, they have determined that there are no defects at this location that meet HCC’s intervention levels. As such, HCC will not be carrying out any work at this location at this time. This location will continue to be monitored through routine inspections until such a time as any defects that meet HCC’s safety intervention criteria become apparent. "

Still marked up for permanent patching, as it has been since 2017 yet, another year has almost passed without this defect being properly resolved. Why?
