Road Surface Badly Damaged
Reported via desktop in the Potholes category anonymously at 10:56, Sat 1 March 2025
Sent to Leicester City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7208357.
When I cycle along the stretch of Ashton Green Road between Greengate Lane & Bevan Road roundabout the poor state of the road means I have to weave about to avoid the potholes and bloken road surface. This has been reported several times over the past years and resurfacing is not done. The heavy lorries servicing the new estate are to blame for most of the damage, it's time the building firms paid to have the surface replaced. This must be in their contract to carry out repairs.

Disappointed whoever’s responsible for repairing this stretch of highway hasn’t indicated that a complete resurfacing of the highway isn’t going to happen anytime soon.

Getting worse, no action to on repair front. The lorries from the housing development are using it again, mud everwhere too.

This road is a disgrace. The road surface has been destroyed by heavy vehicles, lots of them going to and fro from the house building project at Glebelands. I’ve been complaining, unsuccessfully, for several years, so I’m not hopeful that this complaint will elicit and favourable response.

Ignored this safety complaint as usual. The speed humps are breaking up, one was so bad it was removed and not replaced. Forgotten road, I was told it won.t be repaired until the building work on the new estate is finished.
