Developer leaving both roads and pavements in a horrendous state whilst construction of a housing estate.

Reported via iOS in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 14:51, Tuesday 25 February 2025

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7183919.

A developer is leaving both roads and pavements in a horrendous state whilst construction of a housing estate on Vinces Rd in Diss. This has been happening for some time and is only getting worse. It is so bad that it now stretches into neighbouring roads making them in a horrible state also. A ‘Wheel Wash’ facility should have been put on site to clean vehicles as they access and egress the site and robust road cleaning and washing should also be being done more than it obviously is. There is also inadequate parking for construction staff for the site and that and a Traffic Management Plan should have been put in and agreed to be sufficient which obviously it isn’t. This site was previously refused for development and you can now see it was for very good reasons. It would seem both South Norfolk Council and Norfolk County Council have negated their responsibilities with respect to those who live, work and commute via this very important road.
