Flooding resulting from blocked drains in Standhill Lane

Reported via desktop in the Flooding on Road category by Anthony Hawkins at 17:05, Monday 24 February 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7181838.

The flooding in Standhill Lane adjoining Court Farm is worsening and reaching the point where is will become impassable in a small car. The drain in the middle of the flooding is blocked and further down the lane another drain is blocked, resulting in backing. Further down the lane the constant flow of water is causing severe potholes which are becoming vehicle damaging.

  • This has got even deeper to the extent that I don’t think I can drive through it. It’s a no through road so it’s the only way out. I have two young children, the oldest who is in school and I’m concerned I can’t get out.
