Flooding of pathway after a little rain
Reported via iOS in the Public Right of Way footpath category anonymously at 12:59, Sunday 23 February 2025
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7174770.
Hi, I reported this problem last year and was told that repairs were in motion. A small section of the pathway was mended but huge sections still need replacing as after just a couple of hours of not heavy rain the pathway was flooded again, so you get an idea I stood in a puddle so you can see how deep it is. As this is a cut through pathway that provides access to the local school it would be most appreciated if you could do something about this on a dry day. Thank you.

Thank you for your report. Budget for reactive repairs to parks infrastructure is prioritised according to risk assessment with spend allocated to those items that present the highest health and safety risks, Unfortunately, we are unable to action a repair at this time, but the raising of this path to prevent future waterlogging will remain under review, and may be considered for our planned programme of repairs either later in this financial year or within Financial Year 2025/26. The area has been checked and is not considered to present a health and safety risk. We will continue to undertake regular safety inspections and address any reported issues. This report has now been closed on Fix My Street, but we will as outlined continue to monitor.
