Foot bridge rails down at Mowbray fields

Reported via mobile anonymously at 05:15, Tuesday 18 February 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7149294.

The bridge railings have fallen away into the steam leaving it wide open and this requires action before somebody falls over a metre into the stream breaks a leg etc the lack of maintenance is staggering and inaction this needs to be close for use asap. steel railings are required and concrete placed on the big step down on the south side to prevent injury to persons using it. this is a law suit waiting to happen.

Council ref: ENQ251037251

  • This bridge has been reported as unsafe on multiple occasions, it is in Didcot Parish and the Town Clerk has passed reports on to the relevant teams who have not prioritised it to be repaired. Please sort this out before someone is injured either on the bridge or on the broken wood/nails left to the side of the path.
