Drains Blocked and Highway Verges
Reported via Android anonymously at 20:46, Wed 11 November 2015
Sent to Cornwall Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 714668.
Drains require leaf debris at 100 yards past point indicated on both sides of road and kerbs swept and grass removed from edges.
This will prevent surface water build up by both bus stops and flooding to my property, during heavy rain falls.
Drains have not been cleaned out I nearly a year and roads have not been swept either.
Regards
Mr M

As a local resident I have to agree. The road always floods here at this time of year. There seems to be a lack of forward planning.

Drains were not unblock resulting in road flooding and water flooding my property, the mess although reported has not been cleaned up and remains all over the highway. This will cause the drains to block again resulting in additional flooding.

Flooded again last night, through lack or no action by council, road requires sweeping again and ditch by outlet requires attention.

I could not agree more! I reported blocked drains in St Andrews road 3 weeks ago and nothing has been done.

Maintenance still required, although the drains have been cleaned out and jetted, roads swept, I have been advised this is on a maintenance rota, but no works were undertaken in the 14 months since I complained last time including Road sweeping.
