Hedges have grown over the pathway

Reported via desktop in the Hedges category anonymously at 15:17, Sun 16 February 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7142249.

For several months have had to walk in the road to pass the hedge that has grown over the path. The hedge itself has thorns so can't walk through it. During the dark hours it was not so bad because I could look back briefly for the lights of cars approaching around the bend near Dewers Farm Cottages, but now it is lighter it is very hard to safely predict whether I am okay to walk in the road to avoid these hedges or whether a car will come around the corner while I am in the road (with my 2 dogs).

  • Thank you for your report and apologies for the delay in a response. Could you please let us know if this is still an issue or if this has now been resolved? If this is still an issue, if possible and safe to do so, could you please provide any new images and detailed location information of the issue so we can get this raised for repair faster. Many thanks and kind regards

  • The hedge was cut back several weeks ago so that it was no longer over the pathway. Unfortunately the cut branches were left over the pathway which obstructed it instead. I have now moved these branches to a verge further up the pathway out of the way, so the pathway is accessible.
