Reporting continual issue of vehicles obstructing pedestrian zebra crossing

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction blocking access category anonymously at 19:03, Saturday 15 February 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7139806.

Recent evidence showing vehicles parking on the zebra crossing, blocking pedestrian access and forcing road traffic to manoeuvre around them. Many of these drivers are customers of the laundrette, where vehicles frequently mount the pavement and park illegally on the white zigzag lines and the dropped curb of the zebra crossing itself.

The issue has persisted for many years.

The council must take action and install bollards to ensure the safety of residents and pedestrians on Whitehall Road.
