Temporary edge protection to footpath making footpath unusable and dangerous
Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 18:33, Thursday 13 February 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7131553.
The temporary edge protection makes the footpath too narrow for wheelchair users and pushchairs. It also means young children walking to Europa school are walking very close to the kerb line which is dangerous, particularly when articulated lorries and busses pass, but even with cars it's not very safe. Pushchair and wheelchair users have to use the road which is very dangerous and will result in an accident as more people use this route (there is no alternative route). This footpath needs to be made safe so wheelchair users and parents with young children are not forced to make a decision of either dealing with a dangerous condition or not walking.

How has this not been fixed? It has been in this state for over a year and is a massive impediment to the local community - especially for the young children and parents with buggies that have to move onto the busy road to pass by.
