A severe pothole caused my car tyre to burst violently around 6.45 last evening, Thursday 13th February. It came upon us quickly as we left the roundabout and had no chance to react as it was in the evening in the dark. It has not only destroyed by car tyre, it has damaged my wheel too, and I will be persuing a claim against the council. My car had to be recovered by my insurance company, LV. This is a highly dangerous pothole on a very busy road near a roundabout. We were thrown off by the impact and it could have caused a major accident. On our recovery home, we also saw another severe pothole on the same stretch of road, but as you go back towards the Boars Hill roundabout. These are not minor potholes they are very large and deep on major roads.
