Pavement damage as a result of maintainance work

Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 13:15, Wednesday 12 February 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7124059.

Work was recently carried out to clear the footpath which is appreciated but the way the work was carried out has potentially resolved one problem but created another.

By using mechanical diggers large parts of the pavement tarmac have been dug up creating a really uneven surface which is only going to get worse over time. Utilities inspection covers have been broken and left exposed. The soil that they scrapped has been dumped to the side of the path and is simply going to wash down onto the path again
