  • Can I please urge councillors to look at roads in Bracknell and compare themselves to Oxfordshire's roads Oxfordshire is probably the richest county but our roads are worse than ever. I guess most of the highway's budget is being spent and wasted Oxford city. I frequently use the roads in Bracknell and I have to say it's mostly a pleasure to be able to drive on smooth flat roads unlike here in Oxfordshire. if you're lucky in Oxfordshire you might get away with only having to replace tyres twice a year but more than likely have to deal with suspension issues as well. I have lived in Oxfordshire for 28 years and seen the roads get neglected year on year and now most rural roads are in such a poor state it's dangerous to drive on them.. is this one reason the councils have encouraged the change of the speed limits to 20 so you hoping their will be less damage to road users.

Enough Is Enough. Sort the roads out. Get Oxfordshire rural areas a nice place to be able to visit again I live in Stoke Row and am ashamed of the roads here and neighbourly villages. I have had people visiting and getting commented on that Stoke Row is a beautiful place but they are shocked at how bad the roads are here and the surrounding areas Today I had to travel around 10mph or less so I can avoid the really bad potholes these are the newer ones I What will it take for you to take note. Soon there will be people getting killed, could be a motor cyclist or a cyclist e of the year maybe even car crashes when people swerve to miss the potholes and collide with each other

I am sick of having to pay more each year for the privilege to drive on so called roads that to be fair are not suited to drive on. I have seen roads marked with temporary road surface signs or uneven road signs which are much better than our so-called roads Our council tax is higher and we have not a lot to show for it, we don't even have street lights in Stoke Row The pictures enclosed is just a small section in checkingdon and it's the same in Stoke Row

  • Looks like some poor attempt to rectify the damage has been made since the last report , they came with half a bucket of tarmac! They need to teams over a larger section and needs time to set - what’s been done here has sunken. I’ve spent my time this morning to try and make them more visible for drivers, it’s dangerous to try and avoid them with on ono by traffic , if you see them… this is one of 6 along this section of road.

  • Seriously sort this out, how is this not illegal? It’s absolutely SHOCKING. Every day is dodge the pothole day round here, literally cars swerving all over the shop. Not to mention if a cyclist hit that they’d be flying and severely injured if not killed. Sort it out. And I don’t mean shovelling a load of dirt over it and drawing a white line either.

  • This hole is an absolute hazard. The road is narrow so if you have the misfortune of approaching it then there is no ability to avoid it. Thank you to Anji Plata who attempted to mark it. I was driving home around 5.15 when the sun was low and light visibility was reduced and unfortunately while the marking helped alert me to slow down it was not enough notice to prevent damage to my car. I am now in a situation where my car is unsafe to drive due to severe wheel alignment issues (hopefully this is all - time will tell as I need to get in contact with a workshop in the morning). This was probably not helped by the pothole in stoke row about 10 days before that already jarred me and my car. Thankfully someone had the sense to put a cone in that mammoth of a hole though, especially considering it is still not fixed!

Please can something be done to at the very least alert drivers to these dangerous holes if they cannot be addressed in a timely manner.
