Cars parking on yellow line creating traffic problems
Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 02:12, Fri 6 November 2015
Sent to Slough Borough Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 711892.
As you go over the railway bridge from William Street to Stoke Road there is a box junction then on the left a number of shops.
For the longest time now people are inconsiderately parking on the yellow line to the left.
This forces cars coming from the dual carriageway from William Street to have to overtake and funnel into a single lane at this part of the road.
The council really needs to make this stretch of road Double Yellow or at least greatly increase the traffic warden patrols here.
Especially during the rush hour. This route is congested enough already without lazy drivers parking on the yellow line and causing more traffic problems.

This is a major problem, particularly in the evening rush hour period and can end up completely jamming the traffic right across the bridge, back onto the A4 turning lane & onto Brunel Way.

Why is there no traffic enforcement on this stretch of road? Vans and cars park on the yellow line all day and cause tailbacks and problems. Why don't you make it double yellow??

This was reported over 2 years ago and cars are still parking on the yellow lines causing tailbacks.
In fact there is now double yellow but still cars and vans and trucks park even on the double yellow lines.
I've not seen one ticket on any of the vehicles parked here. Is it not on the traffic warden's routes?
