Subsidence Woodhurst Avenue
Reported via desktop in the Road Defect category by James Scott at 13:25, Monday 10 February 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7112540.
There is subsidence in various places along Woodhurst Avenue, Outside 37, 41, 49, 77 (the worst) and 87 plus a small pothole (getting bigger) outside 61. Don't take your dog for a walk in Woodhurst Avenue after its been raining or you may get an unexpected cold shower! Unfortunately if you live in Woodhurst Avenue you have no choice if you want to leave your house. Fixing the depressions in Woodhurs Avenue would: 1) Reduce the risk of unexpected dirty water cold showers (A win!) 2) Reduce the noise when cars, vans and lorries smash into the dips in the road. As most houses master bedrooms face the street, this would help folks get a restful night's sleep (A win!) 3) Improve the driving experience of those travelling along Woodhurst (A win!) 4) Reassure Woodhurst residents and drivers that use Woodhurst that the council is using their tax and council tax appropriately (A win1). I am hoping that whomever reviews the subsidence issues makes the decision to fix them (A win, win, win, win situation) rather than do nothing (A lose, lose, lose, lose situation).
Many thanks
James Scott
