Unsafe crossing for school children

Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 12:48, Monday 10 February 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7112262.

Parking at the bottom of Kennet Road, Abingdon means that children trying to use the drop curb to cross from Rush Common Primary, Thomas Reade Primary and St Edmunds Primary cannot see traffic coming from further up Kennet Road without standing in the middle of the road. Daily, they cause an obstruction and we've had some near misses with school children crossing over to continue walking on Radley Road. This has been going on for multiple years, but in the last year, there have been multiple cars there every day, causing the obstruction.
