Since London Road has reopened after the alterations to the station and railway line, vehicles have begun parking on both sides of London Road on the sections where there are no yellow lines between Mallards Way and the level crossing. This causes a bottleneck when large vehicles come through as there is not room to pass other traffic. I cannot say whether these cars belong to commuters, workers on the nearby commercial site, or workers at the railway station but it looks as though it is going to cause a problem long term. Maybe the Council should look at etending the double yellow lines?

Dear Brian, the introduction of Double Yellow Lines from Mallards Way to the level crossing underwent public consultation earlier in 2015 and was approved for implementation. Unfortunately not all the lines could be marked on 25 October and it is hoped the missing lines can be marked at the weekend (probably 8 November) subject to weather conditions etc. Brian Short Oxfordshire County Council

Please can this area be coned with no parking right the way along London road, pending yellow lines being painted. It is difficult to access the petrol station due to parked cars. Also please put up advance notice for no parking to allow yellow lines to be completely painted . It seems astonishing that you paint lines only where no one is parked and did not prepare the area with cones and signs ahead of painting. This is creating a bottle neck of traffic and as you said this would be resolved early November is t it time to sort this out!
