12 inch pothole by drain

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 08:41, Friday 7 February 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7099371.

On the B4493 between Westfield and Tyrell’s Close (on the side of the road as you drive towards Harwell High Street) there are several drain covers in the road and there is a pothole (approx 12 inches) which is forming and getting bigger next to the drain covers. When vehicles drive over the pothole it is causing a loud noise to be made which can be heard for some distance. My concern is that the pothole may cause the drain to collapse.

  • Whilst the photos don’t look too bad, the edge of the drain is sticking out and most probably damaging tyres. When cars drive over it, the noise is significant and can be heard throughout the village which suggests it’s most likely damaging tyres/cars.
