Large amounts of debris left on Fawler Road

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 10:23, Thursday 6 February 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 hour, 9 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 7094699.

Charlbury Town Council has received urgent requests/complaints from residents in the last 24 hours. Masses of debris has been left on both sides of the road from the dumping of lorry loads of earth by construction traffic using the unauthorised access into the field behind (Charlbury House). Fawler Rd has been left in a mess with stones, soil and earth everywhere. The passing of traffic along this road is moving the stones to the middle of each carriageway so vehicles have to drive down the middle of the road to avoid getting punctures.

I would be really grateful if you could request that the debris is removed immediately for everyone's safety.

Council ref: ENQ251035036

  • It's disgusting and selfish, the culprit has made no attempt to clear up the mess nor put out signs to warn anyone.

It's been building up for weeks but now has reached a ludicrous level.

    Someone's going to get hurt.

  • Can this please be stopped. It is dangerous to drive along Fawler Road at present. Thank you
