Flooding
Reported via mobile in the Flooding category anonymously at 08:02, Thu 6 February 2025
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7093758.
The road has been flooded for weeks and is not draining at all. The flood water is nearly 50m in length and only getting worse
Everytime it rains more water collects and the flood gets deeper.
Several cars have got stuck and have needed to be recovered.
Underneath the floodwater, the road surface is breaking down with significant potholes forming. The waves created by cars driving through the water is now erroding the road side banks exposing the hedgerow roots which will cause the hedge to die.

The investigation we have done so far has identified that we need to carry out more work to either better understand or resolve this problem. We have added this location to our drainage improvement programme list. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a timescale of works as they will be prioritised based on risk and available budget. Changes might need to be made if we need to prioritise other works due to emergencies or weather events.
In the meantime, if there is any immediate threat to the property or highways safety requiring an emergency response then we ask that this is telephoned through to the team on 0300 123 5020 between 8:30am – 5:00pm or outside of these hours, contact our out of hours team on 0300 123 5025.
