Dangerous bend in Kingswell Rd with primary school and nursery school children on it

Reported via desktop by Miss Helen Stilliard at 20:25, Wednesday 5 February 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7092740.

I live opposite this spot and sit in my window and watch some horrific sights on the bend of Kingswell Rd. Kids for the primary school crossing, parents dropping children at the Red Brick Nursery and pulled up by the grass verge round the bend with doors open to get children out of the car seats. Commuter traffic does not obey the 20 mph limit. It is a blind bend and as you round it a low sun in the morning or headlights at night cause sudden dazzle. If there is slight mist on the windscreen it can suddenly light up and cause immediate complete blindness, as you round the bend. Its all so dangerous there. I think it needs sorting out urgently before there is a fatality. Perhaps a one way system, or speed humps, lots of them, or both. Clearer 20 mph signs would help, or flashing lights when people exceed it.
