Avoid litigation!Paving stones need fixing

Reported via desktop in the Pavements category by Mike Campbell at 12:16, Wednesday 5 February 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7089649.

The problem, first raised months ago, is getting worse. This morning I tripped over the paving stone as the pavement is very uneven. If there was somebody elderly who fell, they could be badly injured. The City Council has been informed of this ages ago and it would be wise that this is fixed urgently. I believe the situation has got worse, since work started on refurbishing the old bank as it is now being turned into a café. therefore, it could be argued that the contractors have a duty to fix the pavement, though it comes under your remit. I would like to flag this as a potentially serious issue for yourselves in terms of any potential litigation. Had I fallen, broken a bone, or inccurred any other injury, I would have certainly been inclined to take legal action.
