It is huge - if it were to come down in the storms we have been having it would go straight through my house and the council would be liable for the cost of any damage. It was a small ornamental tree when i moved in but it has not been looked after properly. When i have tried to get it pruned before no one will accept responsibility for it. It was probably planted by the developer back in the early 70s and would have been adopted when the highway was taken over by the council. While i quite like it and wouldn’t want it to be cut down it does pose a significant risk.

Thank you for your report. I have checked the inspection records of this tree, it was inspected last in 2022 as part of a larger parish survey. The works specified have been undertaken. However, following recent works near the tree I will undertake an inspection in the next few weeks to assess its current condition.
State changed to: Investigation complete
