To avoid the 'hole' cars either have to be on or over the central white line in the face of oncoming traffic.

  • This is on the southbound carriageway next to the bus stop at the junction with Richards Lane. It is badly degraded, deep and wide, with sharp edges, causing a significant hazard to vehicles, especially cycles. There is no off-carriageway cycle lane southbound at this point
