Pavement problem

Sent to Newport Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7070886.

I am elderly but can walk well with two sticks from my home in Western Avenue, up to 14 Locks cafe; however I feel that priority is always given to the road surfaces, while the pavements are very rough and there is a danger of tripping if I do not look down most of the way. Is there anything that could be done about this?
