Traffic lights cause dangerous confusion.

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 18:01, Friday 31 January 2025

Sent to Halton Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7066503.

I have witnessed many drivers go through a red light on the cross roads from Crossway to Hale rd and Dundalk rd. The second set of lights by the pedestrian crossing cause confusion as drivers coming from Liverpool rd think there lights are turning green and pull out too early, onto traffic coming out of Crossway. I have seen several near misses. People also often fail to realise they should stop coming out from Dundalk rd turning right on Hale rd as they have just gone through a green light. Needs signs to explain as many drivers are confused by it and it is an accident waiting to happen. I have seen so many near accidents whilst driving and as a pedestrian. Near local schools and special schools too.
