Litter and Fly-tipped debris

Reported by ANDY J STRAW at 08:42, Sat 24 October 2015

Sent to Dorset County Council and Weymouth and Portland Borough Council 3 minutes later

When you enter the Merchants Incline accessed from Castletown, You are immediately struck with copious amounts of litter and Flytipped material all along the path and up to and including the path past East Wear Road. This path is part of the South West Coast Path and as such must be kept clean due to the amount of visitors each year. However, as a local volunteer I cannot keep up with this paths maintenance. This has been an ongoing problem for years. This path is just as important as Weymouth Sea front, yet, that area is ALWAYS kept clean! Please clear this mess up and please ensure that the area is REGULARLY checked and cleared. Thank-you!
