The "fixed" pothole about a meter wide is back
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 08:42, Friday 31 January 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7062567.
This is on my daily commute to work. The asphalt looks like it's been broken up with a sledgehammer and there were huge chunks on the road this morning. Putting this in so it can be fixed before it causes damage to my car

Updated to add photo. It doesn't to it justice to show how deep it is

You have two pot holes within 100 yards of each other. Both dangerous. One on the main road from Curbridge to Brize at the junction for the A40 and largest with chunks of concrete on the bridge over the A40. This one has been fixed seven times in last year alone. This is stupid to keep making the same mistakes with fixing this giant hole. Increased traffic by building more homes on Green belt and the only area you have fixed the roads is the Cotswold Leisure Centre with the Golf course and Rich people driving their big cars. You really do look down on us mere mortals.

The potholes that were supposedly fixed are now breaking up again and just as dangerous as they were before

I can concur that both potholes were badly filled again the filling is coming out. A huge amount has been spent in the two years to fix this problem and the people who are responsible to sort this problem out are not fit to do the job. This is Gypsy work being paid for by the taxman. Shoddy work .

As well as the strip across the bridge, there are 2 pot holes that keep being missed. One is after the strip heading towards the Curbridge/Brize Road. The other is as you pull out of the junction and turn right. These keep being missed as I believe they think all the xs on the map are the strip.
