Home Farm Ln & Elvetham Ln potholes/collapsed edges.
Reported via desktop in the Other Road Issues category anonymously at 16:38, Thursday 30 January 2025
Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7060530.
Both of these road still have some potholes and, on both lanes, the tarmac edges have eroded so badly that vehicles have been ‘dragged’ off the roads and into ditches/gullies. There are cones in Elvetham Lane that were put into these dangerous sections several years ago, but nothing was ever fixed. The cones (on bends) are still there but have been pushed all over the place when cars have ended up off the tarmac. I have reported this several times over the years to no avail. You will see in Home Park Ln (nr Home Pk Fm) where vehicles have gone off the road due to tarmac erosion. One most recent was a car as the black plastic bumper is still there in the hedge. Previously I saw a van in the ditch, further up. That is still obvious to any one passing by. This is getting worse and worse, please go and have an inspection of the full length of both roads and arrange repairs.

Yet again this issue has been closed without the repairs being undertaken. A few slaps of tarmac into the worst potholes does not fit the rest of them or fix the collapsed edges. Old cones are still in place (or knocked about) from a few years back to try and keep vehicles on the road at the bends. This is totally failing. Please look along the length of both roads Home Farm Rd and Elvetham Lane and arrange proper repairs.

As fast as you shovel a bit of tarmac down the other issues are still there or getting worse. Would you like to take a drive with me to explain why you haven’t repaired all the reported issues? You seem to be unable to see what I can!
