Chicane blocking cycle lane

Reported via desktop in the Traffic Signs category anonymously at 10:01, Thursday 30 January 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7057460.

The chicane on the railway bridge blocks the mandatory cycle lane. At the entrance it is two thirds blocked and exit by a half (see pictures). The road markings indicate that cars are not allowed to encroach the solid line, so the chicane should be moved appropriately. At the moment it blocks those with mobility aid bikes (3-wheelers) and trailers (e.g. with children) and makes it very difficult for anyone with panniers (a lot on this route). A better solution would be to have pop-up rubber road lane dividers, which would be less able to be moved.
