Flag years out of date; route numbers in tiny font
Reported via desktop in the Bus Stops Flags category anonymously at 21:36, Wednesday 29 January 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7055779.
At Five Mile Drive bus stop southbound, on Banbury Road, the flag sign advertises route 94, which was withdrawn in late 2020 or shortly thereafter; and route 250, which was withdrawn in 2023. But it fails to advertise route 24, which the County Council introduced in 2023.
Other numbers have been updated or deleted, but those that remain are now out of sequence.
The flag uses a miniscule font to advertise routes 2A and NS5. This discriminates against, and tends to exclude, any prospective passenger who cannot read such a small font.
The flag needs a new vinyl on each side; displaying the numbers of all the routes that currently serve it; all in the same size font; and all in numerical order.
