Flag sign two years out of date; route numbers in tiny font

At Summertown Shops bus stop A, northbound on Banbury Road, the flag sign advertises route 250, which was withdrawn in 2023, but fails to advertise route 24, which the County Council introduced in 2023.

Several other route numbers on the flag have been clumsily deleted, leaving several gaps. It looks a mess.

The flag uses a miniscule font to advertise route NS5. This discriminates against, and tends to exclude, any prospective passenger who cannot read such a small font.

The flag uses an over-sized font to advertise route H2. This deviates from the policy for this type of bus stop sign that the County Council adopted in the 2000s, which was for all routes to be given equal prominence.

The flag needs a new vinyl on each side; displaying the numbers of all the routes that currently serve it; all in the same size font; and all in numerical order; without gaps.

  • Wrongly reported under Road Trafic Signs etc rather than Bus Stops so has been sent to the wrong department. Consequently we are transferring this and others manually Sadly this will break the link to FMS so no updates will be sent to this page
