Flag years out of date; route numbers in tiny font; brackets broken.
Reported via desktop in the Bus Stops Flags category anonymously at 07:17, Wednesday 29 January 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7049883.
At the northbound St Margaret's Road East bus stop on Banbury Road, the flag advertises route 94, which was withdrawn in late 2020 or shortly thereafter; and route 250, which was withdrawn in 2023. The flag fails to advertise route 24, which the County Council introduced in 2023.
The flag uses a miniscule font to advertise routes 2A and NS5. This discriminates against, and tends to exclude, any prospective passenger who cannot read such a small font.
The flag needs a new vinyl on each side; displaying the numbers of all the routes that currently serve it; all in the same size font; and all in numerical order.
Both of the plastic brackets at the top and bottom of the flag sign are broken. What is left of the brackets is still holding the flag to its post, but it would be wise to replace them.

Thank you for the update. however, this and other Bus Stop flags has been wrongly reported under "Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings" rather than under its own category under Bus Stops. Consequently it has been allocated to the wrong department. However, we are currently going through them all and manually transferring them. But this may take some time and delay any work.
Sadly in transferring them FMS will no longer update.
State changed to: Investigation complete
