Cromer Way Hancock Drive Junction vehicle overrun onto verge

Reported via iOS in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 20:38, Mon 27 January 2025

Sent to Luton Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7042859.

Please see attached photos of the junction between Cromer Way and Hancock Drive in Luton.

Large vehicles have been overrunning the kerbs at this turning for months, this means the tactile kerb and crossing points are covered in mud, there are very deep holes on both corners now and the BT manholès are also starting to be damaged as can be seen on the photo.

This junction needs a redesign to stop this or at very least adding some more tarmac or cobble stones to the edges to allow for overrun. It is not wide enough for large vehicles to get round especially when there is queueing traffic waiting to turn out of Hancock Drive. Please resolve this.
