  • For obvious reasons it is not possible to stop and photograph this HUGE pothole as you swerve to avoid it at 50mph. Eastbound on A40, dual carriageway section before the final sliproad where traffic from Witney joins. It is located close to the edge of the road , in the tramline, where it will catch the nearside front wheel of any vehicle going into it. It looks about 2 feet long x 1 foot wide and about 6 inches deep. There has been a big pothole here in the past so it looks like it is an old repair which has opened up again (so unusual!). Needs fixing immediately. It is very dangerous and could easily cause an accident.
