The drain is blocked problem
Reported in the The drain is blocked category by Gloucestershire County Council at 12:39, Mon 27 January 2025
FixMyStreet ref: 7039768.
Excessive water and lake-like puddling extending into the road and up our drive. We have to wear wellies to access our gate. Pedestrians are forced to walk in the road, on a blind bend. Very dangerous for school children walking to/from Cam Hopton junior and Rednock secondary school, as this road is used as a main thoroughfare for both.
Please can this drain be marked for urgent inspection / emptying?

I am pleased to inform you this drainage issue has been resolved.
Every gully or drain the county council is responsible for is cleared at least once each year. Some drains in problem areas are cleared more frequently. You can find out more, including the gully emptying schedule on our website by visiting www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/highways/roads/road-maintenance
Sometimes during periods of heavy rain, even a clear gully can be overwhelmed. Usually the water will drain away within an hour.
If you are concerned about flooding please see the Flood Guide for advice and support by visiting www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/planning-and-environment/flood-risk-management/flooding-information/flood-guide
