Hampton lane is a one way street vehicle frequently ignore this

Reported via mobile in the Road signage category anonymously at 18:09, Sunday 26 January 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7035785.

This lane has a no entry sign either side of the entrance at Cotham Hill however drivers do not seem to see this. Could this be improved? Perhaps lower the signs a bit and paint no entry on the road? I cycle this route, entering from Aberdeen Rd, a couple of times a week and frequently find vehicles driving at me coming the wrong way. This is a narrow lane with cobbles at the edge, there is no where to go if the vehicle doesn’t stop. Last week I was dragged off my bicycle by a taxi whose driver insisted I was wrong and then drove off catching my pannier with his indicator pulling me off my bike. This is a dangerous lane for cyclists please improve
