Poorly reinstated roadworks

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category by Mike Lee at 15:02, Sunday 26 January 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7034992.

There are two deep depressions in the carriageway that are the result of an excavation (last week) that has been poorly reinstated.. The one next to the BT engineer is more than 100mm deep at it's worst point and if a cyclist hits this they are going to come off badly. Several neighbours have reporting hitting it too. The reason for the excavation isn't clear, it is near to where the new houses are being built.

Council ref: ENQ251032607

  • The two potholes at the building site entrance have been filled. It looks as if they simply filled the sagged holes so let's see how lasting that is. No more danger for cars and bikes at the moment there.

  • This has a cone in the road due to the depth of the re-instatement
