Trees and vegetation impeding road on Combe Hay Lane

Very high trees on unstable ground are overhanging the lane, on RH side going down. Some trees have collapsed on the steep bank. It is only a matter of time before another one comes down and endangers road users on a very dangerous unlit bend. Trees and undergrowth at verge are not maintained and impedes use of the full width of the road. In general the hedges and trees on RH side of Combe Hay Lane have not been maintained or cut in many years

    Since reporting this in January, nothing has happened except the trees overhanging have got worse and hedges remain uncut, as before, they are not cut regularly. When winter comes the trees will be more unstable.

    Can the council deal with this with the landowners?

    I cannot see any actions have been taken on this section. However yesterday, a vehicle hit the overhanging trees and was trapped under them for some time and had to be chainsawed out. The road was extremely dangerous at this point. This WILL happen again unless the overhanging trees are dealt with.
