'Invisible' Zebra Crossing
Sent to Torbay Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7023242.
This crossing needs total refurbishment, the poles are dirty and non-reflective, the beacons aren't very bright and need LED lighting, one pole is against a building rather than at the edge of the pavement, road markings are worn. No one stops at this crossing and it is the only one available to get across the road for Sainsbury's.

SWISCo has said that "this crossing has been identified to be upgraded in the new financial year ... new poles, beacons and floodlights to light the crossing are planned to be installed in April 2025 with road markings to follow." This is great news, and roll on April as I had a near miss in both directions today ..... a car flew past me towards town while I was waiting at the crossing, and the no.12 bus braked sharply for the chap just ahead of me walking home.
