Unfinished pavements
Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 08:19, Wednesday 22 January 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7014660.
Reported again in Jan 2025 as northing has changed.
I reported this in June 2022 and absolutely nothing has changed to the condition of the pavements since reporting. This is the previous report: The pavements on both sides of the road on Highworth Road (around the new Bewley Homes development at Stevens Way) are unfinished and have been like this for months. They have a very rough finish and the manholes and other ironworks are raised (with some build up around the edges) making it difficult for pushchairs and wheelchairs to navigate. The kerbstones and verge side edges are proud of the pavement top layer creating a trip hazard all along the pavement. I presume a top layer is yet to be laid, but it is has been this way for months. The top layer has been laid from the entrance into the new development but not out onto the Highworth Road. Also the kerbstones at the entrance to Stevens Way are damaged already, presumably from the building works traffic entering the estate.
