Cars cutting through the service road to jump the right turn filter

Reported via mobile anonymously at 15:54, Tue 21 January 2025

Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7012633.

Every morning cars from Hillfoot Road are using the service road that us in front of Frosts ,the chippy ,solicitors ,etc to jump the traffic lights .The filter to turn right o to Woodend Avenue only let's a few cars through,so rather than wait ,a continuous stream of cars use the service road to cut a cross onto Woodend Avenue constantly blocking up the road ,I have had so many near misses were impatient drivers are forcing there way across. If the service road access was reversed only allowing access from the Florist/Chemist end ,this would stop them cutting through .The filter for turning left on to Hillfoot allows plenty of cars through at a time ,so the need to use this service road would be reduced. The road clearly displays Access Only road signs.Theses drivers are ignoring them. Please ,please can you take a look ,from 7.45 am onwards ,it is making our lives as residents from.Leafield Road a misery ,trying to get out onto Woodend Ave.This started approximately 6 months ago but is getting ridiculous now. Thank you
