Blocked drain

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Drain category anonymously at 12:12, Monday 20 January 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7005645.

Despite a number of previous reports regarding the drain outside number 6 Worbeck Road the drain has not been cleared. Although it has been reported as being fixed it is not. The drain is full of leaves and branches from the tree and whenever it rains it seriously overflows. It has not been looked at our dealt with. I am asking yet again for someone to clear the drain

  • The contractors have made a number of attempts to clean the gully but were prevented from doing so due to cars being parked over it. As the drain is described as 'very low risk' on the on the Governments Flood Risk website, it will be highlighted and added to a Forward work programme for the contractors to prioritise when the drains in the Crystal Palace ward have their cyclical cleanse in April. This report will now be closed.

  • The drain is still blocked and needs dealing with asap. Cars cannot park over the drain as the drain is by my driveway so please can this be cleared

  • The gully sucker needs a large space to operate allowing the crew to work safely without blocking access to other road users - We will arrange a parking restriction to cater for this - Traffic management orders are usually done in bulk and may take longer than usual to complete.- This work will be done as soon as it can be arranged.

  • The drain outside number 6, Worbeck Road has not been cleared. The leaves etc from the tree are still visible and also all the other rubbish that is blocking the drain. Yet again despite you closing the case and stating it has been cleared it definitely has not. I am requesting that you do send a team out to clear the drain and stop it overflowing
