Mud on A4130 around ladygrove

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 10:07, Friday 17 January 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6993335.

The ENTIRE A4130 loop around ladygrove is covered in mud. The mud at the side of the carriageway is so deep it will need to be cleared by shovel a road sweeper is NOT going to clear this. This means when it rains this mud will be washed into the surface water drains and block them, then we will have flooding AGAIN!. This is being caused by a combination of the building works on ladygrove north , the horrendous works on the B4016 (abingdon road) and the waste transfer station. in ALL 3 of these cases no wheel wash or washdown procedure is being undertaken.

The mud has made the road exceptionally slippery and dangerous , it has been thrown up onto the pavements making them a mudbath and to drive a vehicle on them instantly covers it in mud and gets peppered with stones thrown up.

These building sites and facilities MUST have a wheel wash facility to stop this before there is a big accident , the quality of life for residents has been degraded and potential damage to property increased significantly.
