Illegally parked: abandoned vehicle

This white SUV (j B055) has been idle right at the bell green/ Perry rise/ Perry hill cross road for 3 days running. Calls made to Lewisham parking enforcement team - but nothing is yet done! Please can this action be taken! At best, it is an inconvenience - at worst, it is in accident waiting to happen. I find it bizarre that enforcement officers seem more concerned about issuing PCNs at restricted parking areas than actually taking action against genuine parking mishaps/misdemeanours.

  • I’ve just been on a call with NSL who partners with Lewisham Council. Apparently no action can be taken because ‘the yellow line is faded’. I am gobsmacked. Have lost common decency and common sense? That is a functional lane of traffic heading northwards and westwards into Perry rise. How can this vehicle be legally parked? If NSL cannot do anything - I implore Lewisham council to step in! Unacceptable!

    With a better picture of the recalcitrant vehicle. Clearly impeding the left lane/north/westbound lane. Unbelievable that this is technically ‘legal’.

  • I implore Lewisham to paint a double yellow on the above road for all avoidance of doubt and to prevent recurrence. Clearly NSL is not fit for purpose.
