Thank you for your response to my recent email regarding the damaged bench. I understand your advice to contact Westbourne Parish Council; however, given that this is a highway safety concern, I would like to double-check whether Highways has made any contact with Westbourne Parish Council to advise them of this matter.

If no such contact has been made, could you please clarify why this was not actioned? As the initial report was submitted to Highways, I believe that a response from your department would be more appropriate under these circumstances.
