Edges of the road sharp drops off potential car damage

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 07:04, Saturday 11 January 2025

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6964242.

From the area of Blind lane up to the school house triangle and towards Cuckoo hill and Brooksidethe edgesxofcthecroad are horrendous!! It is near on impossible to pull over to let other vehicles pass as you put your tyres and bottom of car at risk of damage. The whole road right the way up.past Cuckoo hill and Blunts Barn is all equally as bad and is in desperate need of attention for residents and visitors alike. There is also a road works sign that has been dumped and left in a dangerous positon since November when work was suppose to be carried out on the stretch of road, not sure if it occurred or was put off due to weather.

  • This has only had 1of the areas fixed. There is a small strip outside the old school house that's been fixed but that will probably last 5 minutes as a tractor regularly rolls over it and parks on it. On the left hand side of the crowd about 15-20m along the crowd towards Brookside theres assigned to say "road closed" just where the sign was placed is where the road edges are,at their worst!! There is pretty much no where to pass another car without driving off the edge and on an area with a hefty drop off the edge. Picture 1 and 3 are still like this but obviously without the water. A strong possibility of doing damage to the wheels tyres or underside of a car.
