Road defect on newly laid road

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6957714.

The road has been relayed on Hawes lane outside 248 and on the junction of seabrook drive. this patch of the new road is shiny and slippery and causing accidents with people falling. This is also a dangerous situation for vehicles. Could this new part of the road be investigated.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. We can confirm there is a two year guarantee period for any new highway works, as it stands the works are within the tolerance of the contract, however we can confirm the council will continue to monitor the location through our the guarantee period, if any defects are found they will be brought to the attention of the contractor to action.
