Lack of Grit Bin

Could we request a grit bin for this area? The main grit bin on Rotcombe lane is too far away to be practical. There are many older and vulnerable or disabled people living in this cul-de-sac, so it would be helpful to have ready access to grit to make the pavements and roads safe for everyone when it's icy. Thank you

Thank you for your enquiry. A member of the winter service team has attended and surveyed the area. Unfortunately, this does not meet our set criteria for a new grit bin to be installed. We would advice sourcing grit from a local builder’s merchants or using grit from a nearby grit bin. Further information on our winter service policy can be found on the B&NES council website.
